How is the winch mounted to a tripod?

The winch is supplied with a specific Globestock mounting bracket that quickly clips onto the leg of a SENTRY. Mounting the winch on the leg allows the operator to stand in a comfortable position away from the open manhole while maintaining control.

Is it safe to use this winch as my only safety line?

No. Under UK safety regulations, a worker being lowered on a man-riding winch should be supported by a secondary independent safety line, such as a G.Saver II recovery block. This ensures that if one system fails, the worker remains fully protected.

What are the load capacities for this unit?
